Welcome to TwilightMOMS 2.0!
"SO...YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE whose life was turned upside down once you read Twilight...
Your house was a disaster with piles of laundry in every corner and stacks of dirty dishes at record breaking heights. You imagined your husband was a vampire (or werewolf) and had the libido of a newlywed again! You kept convincing yourself that "cold cereal makes a perfectly wholesome dinner" and the pizza delivery boy was on your Christmas card list. Your children were free to run amuck as long as no one came to you bleeding...too badly.
Oh, there was guilt alright...but that wasn't enough! You couldn't tear yourself away from the books and damned be the consequences!
There were more of us out there than I thought. Fans of the Twilight Series in OUR STAGE of life (whether you're a mom or not) needed a place where we could gather unashamed of our irrational obsession with vampires and werewolves. We needed a place where "our kind" can relate without having to wade through all the teenage internet code mumbo jumbo like "OMG!!! IMHO Edward is sooo Hawt!!!" (usually a dead givaway that you should be doing your social studies homework for 3rd period instead of playing on the computer.) FYI, it was a group of 14/15 year olds that "changed" me. However, OUR world of balancing family, work, home, marriage AND...our Twilight obsession was unique, fun, and oh, so very humorous. The personal stories and experiences I've heard/read from women on both sides of the planet were a blast. YOU LADIES ROCK!!!
...and "Twilight Moms" is dedicated to YOU!!!"
That was a message from the founder of TwilightMOMS and Coven Mother, Lisa Hansen on the original TwilightMOMS.com website. Sadly, that site was lost years ago but when we heard the announcement that Stephenie would be publishing Midnight Sun, we knew we had to get the Coven back together! Welcome to TwilghtMOMS 2.0! We will be posting news and updates about Midnight Sun as they come in, participating in fandom discussions, such as Midnight Sun Mondays, and will be opening a forum in the near future to dish about the new release, as well as all things related to Twilight and Stephenie. Until then, please feel free to take a trip down memory lane in our TM Blast from The Past section, and check back for news and the latest updates! We're thrilled to be back, and so glad you are here to to be a part of the Twilight Saga renaissance!
